6 Causes Why Case Studies Are A Terrific Market For Copywriters!

Copywriters

I remember the first time one of the store managers asked me for a case study to for his business. I was not prepared and petrified to be a copywriter at the time, but still I wanted to do.

It was early in my freelance writing career and I didn’t even know what a case study would look like. I had a lot of questions running through my mind. “What the heck is a case study?”

“How long should it be, what is the research I need to do?” “What is the format?” “How much does it cost?”

I didn’t have a clue at the beginning. Now, I do know some things that work and understand the work. As time passed I wrote dozens of case studies for small business owners yearly.

Case studies now rank extremely high on my list of the most fascinating and rewarding projects I handle. (I’m very grateful that Shoppers provided me with this opportunity all those years ago!)

In case you’re unfamiliar with the case study, don’t be concerned about it. It is a pretty straightforward process.  “A case study is simply a success story about a satisfied customer and their experience with a product or service.”

Today, I’ve noticed that an increasing number of companies require case studies to be written, but they struggle to find writers who can fulfill the job.

“Opportunity is coming our way, and it will continue to grow.”

Please consider the following:

  1. “Writing a case analysis is not difficult.”

They are similar in nature and format to a journal article. Therefore, if you happen to write an article, you could also write a case report.

  1. The case study is relatively brief.

Usually, the size is around 400-800 phrases. Once you have enough experience, you will be able to write one in less than a day.

  1. The codecs are standardized

Creating a case study is less demanding compared to developing ads and direct mail. You don’t have to worry about coming up with a groundbreaking concept or an attention-grabbing headline. The fundamental framework of a case study is refreshingly straightforward. All that’s needed from you is to gather the necessary information and articulate a well-written piece.

  1. Case study writers are in demand

More and more companies are in a rush to have case analyses written now more than ever. I can’t provide an exact determination, but in my opinion, the demand for case study writers has increased significantly over the past couple of years.

  1. There’s little competitors

Few copywriters pursue this market. Some may not realize it exists. Others may mistakenly think that case study is dull or technical. Not true! Case study writing is storytelling. It’s satisfying.

  1. Case analysis pays properly

Surprisingly now you have the celebrity costs paid to big-league mail copywriters. Nonetheless, most clients do pay handsomely for case study writing. Earning $100 per hour is not an unreasonable expectation for a professional writer. I know many who earn even more.”

Now the case study market is booming. Why not bounce in and get your share of these fascinating and worthwhile writing gigs?
